I was deeply disappointed in this book. I feel the title is misleading because this book more reiterates the Vue.js documentation with next to no design decisions throughout the reading. If there was a design choice, it was not objectified nor properly justified by the author; just do it this way.I have read books that cover design and best practices before. For example, The Art of Unit Testing: the author would focus on aspects of design choices and could walk you through why a certain design decision was bad, the pitfalls of it as your application scales, and how to mitigate such issues. In other words, the author provided real-world experiences of issues faced in the wild and how they were combated and why do it this way. Not the case with Vue.js 2 Design Patterns and Best Practices.Aside from the misleading title, There were parts of this book I was excited about, namely, Vuex, and optimizations. The author, again, only reiterated the documentation of Vuex. The Optimizations chapter was far-off from what I imagined. Its main focus seemed to point you to Google's documentation and how to set up a git repo, a Firebase app, and CI/CD for the aforementioned Firebase app. Finally comes the most laughable part of this book. Chapter 13 Patterns. Again, the author reiterated the documentation. I expected more from this chapter than just that. I did like the container/presentation pattern he had in there. but, aside from that. you can just read the Vue documentation and learn the same concepts presented in this chapter.If you are brand new to Vue.js and want to get your feet wet. I would say this book is a decent match for you. It lays out a clear path for learning Vue.js as well as hints on a few additions outside the scope of Vue that can help you in developing a modern web app using a solid front-end framework. But buy it for just that and that alone.

Covers basic Vue. Not much better than Vue site. The code to pull down and try is the most useful part.

Just bought the book and haven't read it all yet. Why five stars? Paul has consistently provided outstanding tutorials on line. His tutorials are clear, concise and to the point without adding unnecessary fluff or showboating. So there's no reason to think his book would be any different. The folks from GitLab have switched to Vue and Paul's been on the leading edge of training so this has to be a useful book.

I purchased this book directly from Packt Publishing because I had some credit with them. While I have several books on Vue, this is the one I refer to the most. The author is concise which I appreciate. I understand the what & why of best practices, just not how to translate them into Vue. This book is perfect if you need to build an app in Vue and you're pressed for time. Every page contains valuable information, and it's delivered almost in checklist format, which is my personal favorite way to digest technical material.

Frederic S. Mishkin is the Alfred Lerner Professor of Banking and Financial Institutions at the Graduate School of Business, Columbia University. From September 2006 to August 2008, he was a member (governor) of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. He is also a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and past president of the Eastern Economics Association. He has also received an honorary professorship from the People’s (Renmin) University of China. From 1994 to 1997, he was executive vice president and director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and an associate economist of the Federal Open Market Committee of the Federal Reserve System. Professor Mishkin’s research focuses on monetary policy and its impact on financial markets and the aggregate economy. He is the author of more than twenty books, including Macroeconomics: Policy and Practice, Second Edition (Pearson, 2015); The Economics of Money, Banking and Financial Markets, Tenth Edition (Pearson, 2013); Monetary Policy Strategy (MIT Press, 2007); The Next Great Globalization: How Disadvantaged Nations Can Harness Their Financial Systems to Get Rich (Princeton University Press, 2006); Inflation Targeting: Lessons from the International Experience (Princeton University Press, 1999); Money, Interest Rates, and Inflation (Edward Elgar, 1993); and A Rational Expectations Approach to Macroeconometrics: Testing Policy Ineffectiveness and Efficient Markets Models (University of Chicago Press, 1983). In addition, he has published more than 200 articles in such journals as American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, Econometrica, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Finance, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Economic Perspectives, and Journal of Money Credit and Banking. He has been a consultant to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, as well as to many central banks throughout the world. He was also a member of the International Advisory Board to the Financial Supervisory Service of South Korea and an adviser to the Institute for Monetary and Economic Research at the Bank of Korea. Professor Mishkin has also served as a senior fellow at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s Center for Banking Research, and as an academic consultant to and member of the Economic Advisory Panel of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. S tanley G. Eakins has notable experience as a financial practitioner, serving as vice president and comptroller at the First National Bank of Fairbanks and as a commercial and real estate loan officer. A founder of the Denali Title and Escrow Agency, a title insurance company in Fairbanks, Alaska, he also ran the operations side of a bank and was the chief finance officer for a multimillion-dollar construction and development company. Professor Eakins received his Ph.D. from Arizona State University. He is the Dean for the College of Business at East Carolina University. His research is focused primarily on the role of institutions in corporate control and how they influence investment practices. He is also interested in integrating multimedia tools into the learning environment and has received grants from East Carolina University in support of this work. A contributor to journals such as the Quarterly Journal of Business and Economics, the Journal of Financial Research, and the International Review of Financial Analysis, Professor Eakins is also the author of Corporate Finance Online (CFO) (Pearson, 2014), a multimedia online text designed from the ground up for electronic delivery.

The only problem I have is, this book is very focused on Indian financial markets and moreover, the book has a clear warning that it is not legal to sell outside of India, and I do not understand how amazon is allowing to sell the book here in US market! It appears that it could be a waste of money in part since the chapters focus on RBI guidelines and not Fed!

The commentary is usually crap throughout the book. Looking back at all of my undergraduate material, however, I realize this book is the most important. I understand the financial system better than the vast majority of people. I'm going to buy another copy soon.(end the FED)

I was taking an SEC and financial markets class and had no background in the markets at all. I had a required text but it wasn't user friendly and a little over the top with the technical information. I previewed a few books and decided on this one. It was great. It explained everything in terms I could understand (I'm an MBA student) and wasn't painful to read like the other book. Plus the US edition of this books retails for somewhere around $200. I was able to purchase the international edition for about $50-- well worth it.

This book does a good job going over financial institutions and how our free market operates. It can be overwhelming. only buy this for your college class.

I've been curious as to how I could help the black community after learning the truth about our ppl. I found this book later and just, WOW!!! I was absolutely mind blown. Ideas began to flow while reading this book. However, I will say, a lot of what I read made me extremely emotional. It got to the point of me even putting the book down for a couple of weeks. On the other hand, it gave me time to research much of what I read. Nevertheless, I came back to it until I finally finished it.I will buy the next two Vols as well, but this time hard copies. The electronic version had lots of grammatic and spelling errors. So I'll also buy this book again in hard copy just to have handy.This book is a "must read" for anyone interested in true black history.

I HIGHLY reccomend everyone to buy and read this book for those who want depth knowledge and truth about themselves of people of color. (Hey I'm black as well!) I also want people from all other races to read this to show that blacks in America are somebody. We are human, we are intelligent, and most of all the Children of God Yahuah! Forget what you hear about us from the media from reality shows to books that made us in to thugs, gangsters, bad guys, unfit parents and all the other BS people make us out to be.THis book goes way beyond of 1600s and it shows we are the Semites from SHEM. NOT those people in hollywood claiming to be JEWS! This book is not for the faint of heart and I highly recommend you open your mind and heart for the truth even if you think its farfetched but it is not. The source shows historical facts and biblical as well.I waited for so long to find the answer about myself and if you are like me wanting to find answers of our peoples' past this book is for you for closure and finally realizing WHY all blacks of America suffered for so many years even still suffering today. And the reason is explained in the book especially Deuteronomy chapter 28 and we are the only race who suffered all this curses. Black History and Hebrew/Israelites of the bible is OUR HISTORY TOO!

The enlightenment. The history. The biblical support. The languages. It's all so perfectly woven together. Spiritually I kept feeling a pull to study the hebrews. I came across so many debates and what I thought were conspiracy theories. I kept trying to ignore it until I was led to have a DNA test done. Like those preachers he talked about I convinced myself it didnt really matter. Persuaded I was a gentile I moved on. But there was an urgency in me to have that DNA test. When I discovered my true African heritage and ancestry it mattered. I just couldnt sit on it anymore. I couldnt preach the same anymore. I realized who I was preaching to and I knew I had to tell them! I had to transfer this awakening. This book and the other volumes were recommended to me and I am so glad! I feel armed, inspired, and encouraged. Thank you sir. You are truly God's chosen. No pun intended.

Growing up as a African-America Christian; throughout my childhood years in sunday school and church I wondered why everyone in the bible was white. I wondered why in sunday school our bible coloring lessons we always needed a white or yellow crayon and not a brown crayon. I wondered why the pastor always called us "Gentiles". I remember watching the "Ten Commandments" and seeing a white Moses and white Israelites. "Hebrews to Negroes" has shaken the foundation of everything I have been taught for 40 years. I always felt inside that black people in America were "God's Chosen People" from reading the Bible, especially in Deuteronomy 28:16-68. In Deuteronomy 28 it describes the Curses of Israel and it only fits what blacks have gone through for what seems to be an eternity. Daniel 9:9-15 proves that the Children of Israel DID in fact disobey Gods commandments. Therefore they STILL should be going through the Curses of Israel. This Book proves without a shadow of a doubt that the REAL biblical Israelites were Black (People of Color) and not the European Ashkenazi or European Sephardic Jews we see today in America, Europe and Israel. There is no way that Black Jews make up 1% of all the Jews worldwide. Thank you so much for putting this book out. This book HANDS DOWN lays to rest all those (European Jews, Catholics, Muslims) who teach and believe that real Jews are white. This book put chills in my spine and made me realize how much Black America has been tricked and deceived. After reading this book, I see now why It says "Wake up Black America". I am more awake now then ever and I will spread the word to others now that I have read this book.

I have been in the church all my life (Church of Christ to narrow it), i read the entire bible from cover to cover and felt there were gaps. The Most High told the world that before the final days He will pour his spirit into the world.THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!!! All of his information is proven by the bible and recorded history that can be researched online. I feel my search for questions in the world are coming to an end. The Most High has spoken through Mr. Dalton to get a better understanding in the final days before Christ returns. "God works in mysterious ways." I am about to start reading his other two books.

I did a scan through the book and took some select information and did a Google search on it. Everything I picked out was factual. This guy knows his stuff and his viewpoints can be backed up with said factual information. This is worth a buy.

In all my years I have never read a book so full of truths and things that black people should know. Mr. Dalton you are truly a blessed man of Yah! You can tell with your words that he has inspired you tremendously and it's all good. I enjoyed this book. I too was awakened by Yah about 5 years ago and been on a quest to awaken our people with whatever platform i can use. I have had alot of my family and friends to read this book also. Awesome Book!
